I graduated from Santa Clara University in 2009, with a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, with a Health Emphasis. I have been licensed since 2016. I also have over 15 years of experience working with adolescents and families in the juvenile justice system. Specifically, I have worked with young people who have dealt with bullying, child abuse, anxiety, depression, peer pressure and family related problems. I am experienced in working with young people who have suffered from trauma, abuse, and have participated in self-harming behaviors. My areas of interest include: trauma, anxiety, depression, grief & loss, infertility and codependency. I also work with and support First Responders/Military & their families, adolescents, individuals, couples and families. I have studied the importance of the mind/body connection, and teach clients to utilize Mindfulness techniques. These are skills I use in my practice and my own life, today. One area that I am very passionate about is helping clients to find their voice and to develop healthy boundaries in relationships. I find that this area of my work has helped all of my clients and they leave our work feeling more confident, self-assured and lead happier lives. |
